Dr. Graner’s research program is focused on: (i) crop plant genomes at the structural and functional levels; (ii) the conservation and valorization of genetic resources; (iii) pioneering plant breeding by developing genomic tools, mapping of agronomic traits and identifying the underlying genes in barley and wheat; and (iv) exploring novels ways to deploy genomic information for the advancement both conservation management and utilization of ex situ collections.
