Research interests

Dr. Parkins’ research program is focused on Brassica genomics, comparative genome organization, global gene expression analysis, and abiotic stress responses. In addition, she and Andrew Sharpe serve as co-leads for the Canadian Canola Genome Sequencing (CanSeq) industry consortium project, which developed a high-quality genome sequence as part of the multinational Brassica Genome Sequencing initiative.
