Devin Coleman-Derr

Dr. Devin Coleman-Derr is an adjunct assistant professor with the Plant and Microbial Biology Department at the University of California at Berkeley, and a Research Scientist at the Plant Gene Expression Center for the United States Department of Agriculture. Prior to his current positions, he was a postdoctoral scholar at the Joint Genome Institute at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratories.

His lab uses metagenomics, plant genetics and transcriptomics to explore host and environmental control of microbial colonization of the plant root system, with the aim of developing strategies for improving crop performance under environmental stress.
